Grace Cole Fruit Works Watermelon & Pink Grapefruit Body Butter

Mrs Strawberry Blonde

Hi there! Today’s post is about Grace Cole Fruit Works Watermelon & Pink Grapefruit Body Butter. This body butter promises to nourish and moisturise skin and to make skin feel smooth and supple. I’ve been using it for about a week now, and here’s what I think. 🙂

I agree that this body butter is nourishing. Once applied, it feels a bit sticky. But after a few minutes it’s perfectly fine. The fragrance is quite pleasant as well, but it’s pretty much watermelon only. I don’t smell any grapefruit at all. Anyhoo… I’m glad I bought this product! I didn’t love the matching shower gel, but the body butter is actually quite nice, and I would recommend it to anyone with dry skin!

Grace Cole Fruit Works Watermelon & Pink Grapefruit Body Butter is available as 235g. I paid 99p for the tub (Home Bargains). I’ve also reviewed…

Hunny Bee Lavender Face Mask Infused With Charcoal

Mrs Strawberry Blonde

Hi there! Today’s post is a review of Hunny Bee’s Lavender Infused With Charcoal Face Mask. This sheet mask promises to be a deep cleansing treatment that purifies the skin and helps get rid of blackheads. It also claims to refine pores.

How does it work? The instructions state that the mask should be left on for 10 to 15 minutes after which you’re supposed to massage the excess serum into your skin. I left the mask on for almost an hour (=until it was dry), and I was really happy with the results!

When I removed the mask I could see that my skin looked clear and refreshed, and that my pores were visibly smaller. This amazing effect lasted for 3 days! I also thought that the serum felt deeply hydrating without being greasy (which was amazing too) ! To sum it up, this skin treatment worked, and…

Palmolive So Tempting & Palmolive Be Sensual

Mrs Strawberry Blonde

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 Palmolive limited edition shower gels that I picked up at Superdrug – Palmolive So Tempting with poppy and Palmolive Be Sensual with iris.

Palmolive So Tempting with poppy is extremely nice! If you love Flower by Kenzo, this is the shower gel you need to pick up. And if you don’t like Flower by Kenzo because you think it’s too sweet and too dense, this is still the shower gel you need to pick up! This poppy flower scented shower gel smells wonderfully floral, and it has an airy feel to it which makes it perfectly suitable for even the hottest summer days. Awesome stuff!

Palmolive So Sensual with iris is pretty awesome too. The iris fragrance is sweet, warm and natural. If you love Prada’s Infusion d’Iris, this is the shower gel to go with it!

To sum it up, these 2…

Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Scrub, Body Wash, Body Lotion & Body Butter

Mrs Strawberry Blonde

Hi there! Today’s post is about a number of vanilla-scented products from Boots’ Extracts collection. I’ve already reviewed Boots’ Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Spray, so it was time to take a closer look at the matching body care products. 🙂

Let’s start with Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Scrub! I’ve tried a number of body scrubs from Boots, and this one is quite similar. This means that this scrub is on the gentler side. I’m satisfied that it exfoliates my skin, but I prefer grittier scrubs for my body. Having said that, I think this body scrub smells awesome!

Up next is Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Wash! I think this is a nice shower gel. It smells lovely and it’s not drying. Boots did a great job with this one.

Onto Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Lotion! This is a great little body lotion for…

March Beauty Awards

Mrs Strawberry Blonde

Hi there! It’s the last working day of the month, so it’s time for my monthly favourites post. As always, I’ve chosen my top 3 from all the products I’ve reviewed this past month. And I have a few honourable mentions as well. Now, onto the top 3!

3rd place – Treacle Moon Warm Cookie Dough Shower & Bath Gel
Runner-Up –  L’Oréal Elvive Triple Resist 60 Second Saviour Intensive Conditioner

Treacle Moon’s Warm Cookie Dough is a fantastic shower gel. And L’Oréal’s 60 Second Saviour is simply sensational.

WINNER – Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Dragon Fruit

Superdrug did an incredible job with the limited edition Dragon Fruit body cream. I’m glad I picked up 2 large 475ml tubs!

Onto the honourable mentions! Maybelline’s Color Sensational Treat Me SweetLipgloss has blown me away. I liked The Body Shop’s Vanilla Chai Shower Gel

Anna Sui Eau De Toilette

Mrs Strawberry Blonde

Hi there! Today’s post is about Anna Sui Eau de Toilette, a.k.a. Anna Sui Anna Sui (!), Anna Sui Original or Anna Sui Classic.

This fragrance for women contains the following notes: raspberry, apricot and bergamot (top notes), Bulgarian rose, desert jasmine and iris (heart notes), and cedarwood, sandalwood and powdery tonka (base notes).

What’s the fragrance like? I’d describe it as a powdery, yet transparent iris fragrance. Based on what I smell I’d guess it’s 80% iris, 10% rose, 5% lilac and 5% powder. I don’t get any of the fruity or woody notes.

I think Anna Sui Eau de Toilette is a great spring fragrance. It’s also office-safe (pleasant floral fragrance, no big “cloud”). I’d recommend it to anyone who likes powdery floral fragrances!

Anna Sui Eau de Toilette is available as 30ml. I paid £13 for my bottle (reputable online shop through ebay).
