Body Shop Sleep Body Scrub-in-Oil

This is a very impressive body scrub which manages to be both excellent at giving you super-smooth skin and also brilliant at moisturising at the same time. The scrub-in-oil aspect is pretty darn good and not something I’ve used before. Plus I really LOVE that incredibly relaxing lavender scent.

The only down side to this product is the fact the tin is annoyingly … well … tinny, if you get what I mean! It just sounds cheap and nasty when it most definitely isn’t. Probably due to the fact that it’s recyclable so absolutely no complaints on that side of things.

When I’m next feeling flush (as it’s not cheap), I would buy this one again.

Body Shop Breathe Whisked Body Polish

This is a useful body scrub with a nice texture – not too soft and not too harsh. I did love the scent – that wonderful blend of eucalyptus and rosemary is just perfect for autumn and winter. It’s a very enlivening fragrance and certainly gave me a morning pick-me-up feeling.

I did find the tin a bit annoying though as it’s quite heavy. But the actual product is good.

Creightons Vanilla & Macadamia Shower Scrub

I was really pleased to spot this product as I needed a new body scrub and I love vanilla so it seemed like a no-brainer. However, I have to say I really hate it! The scrub is fine and does the trick, no problem – but the scent is simply horrid. It doesn’t smell like any vanilla or macadamia nut combination I could ever have imagined – in fact, it smells rather as if something died in the making of it. A bit like when I was young and a bird died slowly in the wall – for those of you who are old enough to remember such things. That’s certainly a smell one never forgets!

So, this is a definite no from me. I have another scent in this range to try next and I’m really hoping for better things! Surely it can’t be worse?…

Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life Body Buffer

This is a very reliable foaming body scrub and I really do like it. Especially as foaming body scrubs that actually foam seem to be a rare beast these days. The only thing I’m not sure about is the standard S&G ‘pink’ scent which doesn’t do a lot for me but which is perfectly harmless. If only they had another scent range for this product, that would be amazing!

Still, it’s a goody and I can definitely recommend it.

The Body Shop Warm Vanilla Body Scrub

Body Shop Product Review

This lovely body scrub was part of one of our Christmas ranges and the scent is absolutely amazing. The texture is spot-on as it’s not too rough and not too delicate so definitely smooths the skin.

I loved it and it felt particularly comforting during this winter we’re having. I do hope they bring it back again at some point!

Soap and Glory The Scrub of Your Life

This is one of my favourite foaming body scrubs and it’s just brilliant. It lathers up well and has just the right amount of scrub in it to do the job well. Plus the scent is light and floral and not too overly ‘pink’ and teenagey, yay!

You can pick this product up at Boots for £7 for 200ml, PLUS there’s a 3-for-2 offer on right now!

Happy shopping!

Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life

S&G Scrub of your life

I’ve been looking for a good foaming body scrub for ages, and this offering from Soap & Glory is just perfect for me! It’s got a nice scrub feel to it – not too abrasive but not too soft either – and it lathers up incredibly well. So much so that just one dollop on your flannel or sponge will do your whole body nicely!

Plus it hasn’t got that dreadful S&G “pink” smell, which is such a blessing, LOL. I will definitely be buying this scrub again, and soon.

You can pick up this product at Boots for £7.00 for 200ml – and there’s also an offer on of 3-for-2 for selected indulgent bathing, so now is an ideal time to try it out.

Treaclemoon My Coconut Island Body Scrub

coconut island body scrub

I’m usually very fond of Treaclemoon products and think they’re a great little company. I was quite excited about this body scrub as I like a good body scrub as much as the next middle-aged woman, LOL.

However, this ended up disappointing me – the scent is just about okay though nothing to write home about. But the main problem is it doesn’t have any froth to it, if you see what I mean – it’s just purely and simply a scrub. Which is absolutely fine if that’s what you’re after, but I wasn’t, to be honest. I actually wanted a foaming scrub, but this ain’t it.

So, it doesn’t suit me but it may well suit you! You can get a tube at Tesco for £3.00 for 225ml and you can also shop at Treaclemoon itself – always good fun!

Soap & Glory Scrub of Your Life

scrubofyourlife_nsg

I had high expectations of this body scrub but, once again, have been a bit disappointed with it. Um, it’s just not scrubby enough for me – if you see what I mean! There’s nothing really wrong with it and the dreaded ‘pink scent’ is muted here (thank goodness!), but I’m not sure it does that much for my skin. There are other body scrubs I much prefer out there.

So I won’t be repurchasing this product. However, if you want to give it a go, you can find it at Boots for £7 for 200ml – and don’t forget there’s a 3-for-2 offer on at the moment.
