Procoal Pink Clay Face Mask

I do love a pink clay face mask and regularly use one, at least once a week and sometimes more. It’s brilliant for spot-prone sensitive skin. This is a pretty good version and definitely makes the skin smoother and brighter, without causing any redness.

The issues I had with it is that it’s a tiny bit too firm for me and it pulls at the skin a bit when smoothing it on. The fact it’s in a tube also means you don’t get all the product out, which is a bit of a shame. It’s also slightly tingly when putting it on but that didn’t cause any problems so just be aware of it.

This product contains kakadu plum, which is a fabulous Vitamin C source and helps boosts radiance.

I’d probably buy it again at some point for sure.

Origins Out Of Trouble Mask

This is an incredibly useful mask to have in your beauty cabinet. It’s perfect for soothing spots and blemishes and can be used just on them as well as on the whole face. It seems to solve problems without drying out the skin, which is fabulous news.

The mask contains zinc oxide and sulphur which help to absorb excess oil and protect the skin, and glycerin to hydrate and restore balance. It also contains calming camphor and salicylic acid, which acts as an exfoliator to reveal fresher, renewed skin.

This is one of my beauty staples and I highly recommend it. Lasts for ages too!

IvaMar Australian Pink Clay Mask

I do love a pink clay mask – it’s just so good for blemishes and suitable for my sensitive skin. Since the amazing Clarins stopped producing their version (sob! I still miss it), I’ve been looking around for another so thought I’d give this one a go.

It’s okay, but not quite right for me – the texture is rather too solid and the contents in the bottom of the pot are virtually unusable as it gets so hard. On the plus side, it did clarify my skin tone and reduce flare-ups in the way pink clay does, so that was a result.

However, I’m still on the look-out for the perfect alternative!

Body Shop Chinese Ginseng & Rice Mask

Body Shop Product Review:

Having enjoyed the mini-mask version of this product last year, I thought I’d treat myself to the full-size version and I love it just as much! It’s great for exfoliating the skin without causing any irritation which is good news for those of us with sensitive skin, like myself. I use it once a week and it makes my face feel so smooth.

It’s infused with ginseng extracts from China, and rice extract and Community Fair Trade sesame seed oil from Nicaragua to give you a revitalised and illuminated look.

Body Shop Mediterranean Almond Milk with Oats Instant Soothing Mask

Body Shop Product Review

I really like this mask – it’s my special Friday night treat after surviving the working week (without killing anyone anyway, LOL!) and it’s just SO soothing. A total boost for dry or sensitive skin, it leaves my face feeling softer, smoother and very moisturised. Plus the almond scent is lovely.

The mask contains creamy oatmeal from the UK and organic almond milk from Spain.

Sun Prive Pink Clay Mask

Since Clarins stopped doing their marvellous Pink Clay Mask (shame on you, Clarins!), I’ve been looking for a reasonable replacement, so I thought I’d give this one a go.

It’s okay – great for sensitive and blemish-prone skin, and very soothing. However, it’s not ideal as the formula itself is a bit heavy for me, and as you get towards the bottom of the pot, the mask becomes increasingly brittle and is tricky to use and spread across the skin.

So, not ideal and I won’t be using this one again.

Body Shop Mediterranean Almond Milk with Oats Soothing Face Mask

Body Shop Product Review

This is quite simply a brilliant face mask which is perfect if – like me – you have super-sensitive skin. You don’t need to put much on for it to work its magic, and each time I use it (about twice a week), my skin breathes a sigh of relief, I’m sure!

The mask contains creamy oatmeal from the UK and Community Fair Trade organic almond milk from Spain. It helps relieve feelings of itchiness or tightness and leaves your skin softer, smoother and a whole lot more moisturised. Plus the scent of almonds and oats is just lovely.

This mask is now a beauty staple in my bathroom cabinet.
