Body Shop Product Review
This foundation is the new formula for this product so, when it was launched earlier in the year, I thought I’d give it a try. I must admit I’m not the target skin for this particular foundation as I do far better with a full matte coverage (which sadly the Body Shop has now discontinued, sob!).
I found it light and easy to blend in, but I would say it’s better for younger and/or problem-free skins and for getting a dewy look (rather than a matte one). Yes, I know you’re supposed to be able to build it up to the coverage you require with these light foundations but, quite honestly, that never works for me. Also, I don’t like spending time adding layers when I could have a foundation that does what I need in one – but I accept that’s not a majority view. I also didn’t like the paddle embedded in the lid, but again that’s a minority opinion. I much prefer putting foundation on the palm of my hand and then blending it in from there.
All that said, it is good for touching up your look at the end of the day, and it’s very moisturising which is great news. Plus there are 40 (yes, 40!!) different shades so there will absolutely be one that’s perfect for you!
